It is the first High Quality “Green” Paint in Australia.

It is available in 126 standard colours that reflect light and makes the paint feel alive and energetic.

It is based on natural occurring clay containing all the minerals that provide the healing power of medically used clay, e.g. face masks, scar and wound healing, binding and extracting of toxins from the human body. On your walls it helps to eliminate odours from the air in a room (Kitchen, Bathroom, and Smoking).

It has the hiding power of 99.5%. So expensive priming and more than one coat application is not required.

It is extremely porous and therefore will not form a vapour impermeable film on your walls, so it’s not like living in a plastic bag. Your walls will breath and because of this the chances of mould to grow are reduced significantly.

It absorbs moisture and releases it again, helping to regulate humidity in the room atmosphere.

It can be worked to a marble like surface, e.g. plastic trowel application.

It is flexible and therefore goes onto almost any surface, e.g. stone, render, plasterboard, paper, metal, timber and plastic. Interior and exterior.

It can be made waterproof, e.g. by adding lime and olive oil soap (Tadelakt).

It is washable even if it’s very porous. But if you have to invite a dirty football team into your living room it is recommended to further protect your walls with the additional VOLVOX Wax Finish as a final coat.

Application

Apply one to two coats of VOLVOX Clay Decor by roller, brush, plastic trowel or spry and spread evenly in all directions. On very absorbent surfaces such as brick, clay, plaster, sandstone etc. application will be easier by dampening the surface with water and/or reducing the first coat with up to 5% water. Allow each coat to dry completely before repainting. Do not apply in temperatures below 5°C or above 30°C.

Drying and re-coating

VOLVOX Clay Decor will normally dry within 2 hours and can then be recoated. In cold or humid conditions drying time may be lengthened. Coverage Depending on colour, 1 litre will cover approximately 8 sq. metres with covering capacity of 99.50%

Clean up

With water, away from drains.
