VOLVOX Hard Oil-Wax Finish

a thick running oil-wax combination for fine sanded wood surfaces and cork interior. The product enhances the look and feel of natural wood and dries to a satin-matt sheen. This water-repellent floor & furniture finish is also suitable for kitchens and bathrooms.

VOLVOX Hard Oil Wax Finish is made from natural and non-toxic raw materials. VOLVOX Hard Oil Wax Finish is VOC free, it contains no solvents. Manufacturing process ensures ecological sustainability and avoids water pollution. The product will not charge electro static energy. When used according to manufacturer's direction, the product is harmless to human and the environment.

Ingredients

Flax Seed Oil, Tung Oil, Colophony, Bees Wax, Carnauba Wax, Lead-free dryers (Zircon, Cobalt Octoat), Oximes (Anti-skinning Agent). Product does not contain solvents.

Application

Stir well so the gel like Hard Oil Wax becomes fluid. Apply very sparingly and even. Use stainless steel trowel or a stainless steel Taping Knife. Applying the oil by using a paint brush, foam roller or floor applicator is not recommended since this method leads to an over-application of the oil. Note that not more than 20 ml. per sqm. should be applied. After 5 - 10 minutes saturation time the wet surface should be burnished to an even looking surface. Use a red or green polishing pad for this. Wipe dry or buff using a white pad if necessary. Let dry for 6 - 12 hours, then follow procedure above for the second coat. When dry, surface can be finished with VOLVOX Wax Finis.

Maintenance

In the first 3 weeks no water please! Use dry cleaning methods only such as dusting or brooming. Sand, moisture and dirt may harm your freshly treated timber. After that a damp (not wet) mopping may follow if necessary. Remove water splashes and staining liquids immediately. Remember that the oil-resin-wood layer must cure before full strength is achieved for sometimes many weeks.

Use only products that are suitable for cleaning and maintaining natural oil finished timber. We recommend VOLVOX Wood Soap, VOLVOX Wax Finish or/and VOLVOX Floor Renovator as an additive to mobbing water.

VOLVOX Wood Oil

Transparent satin finish for interior hardwood, softwood and cork, water repellent, saliva and perspiration proof and suitable for treatment of children's toys. VOLVOX WOOD OIL will accentuate natural wood grains while retaining vapour permeability of the treated surface.

Ingredients

Flax Seed Oil, Flax Seed Stand Oil. Tung Oil, Hardened Calcareous Resin, Boiled Tung Oil, Lead-free Drying Agents, Silicic Acid, Beeswax, Candelilla Wax, Iso-paraffin, Anti-skinning Agent.

Application

Apply one to three coats with a drying time of 6 to 24 hours between coats. Use paint brush, floor applicator or roller.

After 10 to 20 minutes, remove all unabsorbed oil with a lint-free cloth or machine burnish using a red or beige pad. Wipe surface dry after to remove ALL unabsorbed oil.

Coverage

First coat one litre for approximately 30 m². Second coat: one litre for approximately 60 m².

VOLVOX Hard Oil

Ready to use VOLVOX Hard Oil is a transparent, highly wear and tear resistant natural oil impregnation for traffic exposed interior surfaces. Clear on stone, wood grain enhancing (honey colour) on timber.

Flax Seed Oil, Tung Oil, Colophony, Castor Stand Oil, Iso-paraffin, Lead-free dryers (Zircon, Cobalt Octoat), Oximes (Anti-skinning Agent).

Application

Stir well and apply the first coat to saturate the wood, cork or stone. Use paint brush, foam roller or floor applicator. After 15 - 30 minutes saturation time remove all oil from the surface with a lint free cloth. This is to prevent tacky and glossy spots. Let dry for 24 hours, then sand slightly. Follow procedure above to apply second and third coat. When dry, surface can be finished with VOLVOX Wax Finish. Do not apply in temperatures below 10°C or above 30°C.
