The short answer is… nope! Unless you don’t speak, eat or drink for the entire day and night- your lips will inevitably wear off. This is why we highly recommend bringing a touch up lipstick or gloss with you to your event!
If you’ve ever had an appointment with me I have definitely asked you if you have a touch up for later. If you have a favourite or go-to lippie that you know and love, just bring that one - all nudes blend together anyway 😜
I also have some lipsticks and glosses and even lip liners in my studio for sale for this reason exactly.

Whilst I am confident your makeup will last all day and night, lipstick will need a touch up 😊

1. Some makeup looks won’t suit you - listen to your makeup artist and trust their advice. We have done makeup on so many faces and eye shapes and we know what will work on your particular face! Try to find inspiration pics of people who have a similar face and eye shape, also skin tone and colouring to you.

2. That Pinterest pic you’re showing me isn’t real! 😳
A lot of pictures from the internet are heavily edited and some are even AI… we can’t replicate something that doesn’t exist in the first place 🥲🤪
We want you to be finding inspiration that you actually can see on yourself, not just because a picture is aesthetically pleasing. Check out your makeup artists instagram page for inspo, that’s why it’s there 💞

3. Some of the time, it’s your skin that’s making your makeup look “cakey” 🫣
There are definitely times when makeup is applied too heavily and it appears cakey and not ‘skin like’. But I find that most of the time “cakey” makeup can be explained by the condition of the skin - ie: congested and clogged pores, dry and dehydrated skin that’s flakey, bumps and texture.
If you are using proper skin care especially leading up to your appointment your makeup will sit sooo much more smoothly! 😍🫶🏼

4. You need to communicate with your makeup artist! If you attend your appointment and are unsure of what you are wanting, this is completely fine. A good makeup artist will have a conversation about your expectations and preferences. However, we can’t read your mind. Whenever I have a client saying, do whatever you like, I always ask follow up questions. It’s never that simple! And don’t be afraid to speak up!
